ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE MANAGER

JOB PROFILE
- Direct, supervise, and assign tasks to warehouse employees. Oversee their training, work schedules, and performance evaluations.
- Manage the entire warehouse cycle including receiving, inventory control, monitoring, scheduling, and order fulfillment.
- Work closely with truck drivers, dispatchers, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Maintain accurate receiving and inventory data in the ERP system. Assist with inventory control and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and check reports, schedules, invoices, and other warehouse documentation. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Address and resolve issues related to quantity, pricing, and quality. Assist with order accuracy and monitor for overstocks.
- Maintain equipment and facilities, and report repair needs to the Warehouse Manager. Participate in periodic stock takes.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- A degree or professional qualification in a relevant field from a recognized university. 5-8 years of experience in warehouse management.
- Proficient in working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in MS Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster effective team-building.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Knowledge and involvement in executing lean management, ISO standards and 5S principles will be an added advantage.
