We are currently looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, result-oriented team to join us as a Social Compliance Officer.

Job Summary:

  • The Social Compliance Officer is responsible for implementing social compliance programs to ensure that the company and its suppliers operate in accordance with ethical, legal, and social standards.
  • Supplier Audits: Conduct regular audits of suppliers, subcontractors, and business partners to assess their compliance with social and ethical standards, including their compliance with labor rights, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential social compliance risks within the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
  • Training and Awareness: Provide training and awareness programs to employees, suppliers, and stakeholders on social compliance requirements, standards, and expectations.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of audits, assessments, and compliance-related documentation. Prepare regular reports for management and stakeholders on the company's social compliance performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with relevant departments to implement corrective actions and improvement plans in cases of non-compliance or substandard performance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with local and international regulations related to social compliance and ensure the organization's practices remain in compliance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with external organizations, NGOs, and industry groups to stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and industry benchmarks in social compliance.
  • Crisis Management: Develop and implement crisis management plans in the event of social compliance incidents or emergencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business ethics, sustainability, social sciences).
  • Proven experience in social compliance, supply chain management, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international labor laws, environmental regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Excellent auditing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence change within the organization.
  • Certification in social compliance or related areas may be preferred.
