Senior Legal Officer (6 Months Fixed Term Contract)
Job Profile:
- Assist the Legal Department in managing legal exposure of the Group companies in carrying out its business transactions in the various jurisdictions.
- Assist in conducting legal due diligences for purposes of acquisitions of lands/properties/businesses/Listing of a business in a regional Stock Exchange.
- Carry out research on legislation and all other necessary legal data in all jurisdictions in which the Group carries out its business operations and ensuring the updating and maintaining of the database of such Statutes and legislation affecting the Group businesses in all such jurisdictions.
- Drafting and vetting of Legal contracts on cross border deals, liaise with external counsel on litigation matters and maintain IP portfolio of the Group.
- Assist the Legal Department in the Financial structuring & Risk management of Group companies.
Candidate Prerequisites:
- Be an Attorney-at-law with a minimum of 4 to 6 years experience in the Corporate sector.
- Be able to work with limited supervision in a computerized environment.
- Have excellent command of the English language both spoken and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
