WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Constantly research international markets, customer mindset and keep up to date with their vision, company strategy, and position in the global market.
- Lead all design and product development stages from ideation to sample execution.
- Liaise with customers before and after marketing trips and follow up on customer interests.
- Prepare mood boards, handbooks, showroom setups, and other presentation materials using current and brand correct material that will be showcased to the customer.
- Travel for tradeshows and store sourcing when required by the business for new swimwear trends, colors, customer awareness, and competitor analysis.
- Visit and attend Trim/Embellishments suppliers, subcontractors, and understand their capabilities, select, and develop aesthetically and cost-correct raw material for seasonal collections.
- Prepare design sketches, trim cards, BOMs etc. to clearly communicate design intent to cross-functional departments.
- Liaise with business units and industrial engineering teams to offer product collections that fit the customer cost matrix.
- Liaise with internal departments such as cutting, sample room to obtain a productive output to make the final sample.
- Interact with Account Heads on specific design requirements on customer requests, visits, and new business development opportunities.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
- Degree in Bachelor of Design/Textile Designing.
- Certificate/Diploma in Marketing will be an advantage.
- Experience in the industry for 3-4 years.
- Advance user of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop software packages.
- Knowledge in Clo 3D or Browzwear 3D designing will be an advantage.
