THE PROFILE
- HEAD OF LEGAL
- Preparing and reviewing legal/notarial documents and commercial agreements in order to safeguard the interest of the company.
- Representing the company in courts in cases filed and the company as well as in cases filed against the company.
- Investigate the cause of litigation and relevant issues, collecting evidence and preparing all the material required to ensure all handling of the cases. Appearing in courts on behalf of the Company.
- Provide strategic legal leadership in relation to recovery matters and assist in negotiation and settling matters before going to court.
- Prepare and execute the mortgage bonds, deeds, and other notarial documents.
- Anticipate and plan for all legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
- Ensure the reliable and timely execution of the company's day-to-day legal activities.
- Develop and manage relationships with external Law firms/legal partners/ panel lawyers and assist in identifying potential legal risks and keep Senior Management informed.
- Ensure timely preparation and filing of legal submissions in judicial proceedings.
THE PERSON
- He/She should be an Attorney-at-Law and Notary Public.
- An experienced lawyer with at least 15 years of experience with knowledge of corporate governance, financial services, public and regulatory law.
- A good understanding of Financial Services products such as Leasing, Gold loans, Factoring, Hire Purchasing, and Mortgage Loan products.
- A good understanding of the laws and regulations applicable to the Banking and Finance sector.
- Good leadership qualities and ability to efficiently lead a team.
