SRI SHARAVI BEACH VILLAS & SPA in Kamburugamuwa, Mirissa is seeking a skilled and experienced HEAD OF FINANCE / ACCOUNTANT MANAGER to oversee all aspects of the accounts including:
- Oversee budgeting process for rooms/ F&B / Spa and 'other income' business units
- Work on achieving revenue as per budget and maintains costs to achieve projected profit
- Work on revenue reforecasts each quarter to achieve full-year budget with senior team
- Experience in hospitality/property management systems for rooms and F&B as well as Destiny / Accmaster Accounting Software (Scienter Technology)
Requirements & Responsibilities
Proven experience of minimum 7 years within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership skills and an ability to work within a team (GM/Finance/Operations/Sales & Marketing/Exec Chef to achieve goals and objectives set within annual budget
- Drive monthly P&L's on time and work with senior management team for monthly presentation to owners within the first week, post each closing month. All documentation to be distributed prior to meeting to ensure productive outcomes
- A must to be organized in all account-keeping processes from the top down to the team for easy retrieval of all accounts/finance related documentation
- Lead by example with a proactive approach to problem solving and provide recommendations Maintain all accounting records of the hotels in the manner prescribed by the owners and financial statements prepared on a timely basis
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
- Accounts payable/receivable
- Cash receipts and general ledge
- Payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting
- Cash forecasting
- Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
- Capital assets reconciliations
- Understanding to work with menu engineering
- Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Coordinate and complete annual audits
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- Meet financial accounting objectives
