ENGINEERING ASSISTANT/SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR
We are a continually growing construction company at Pelmadulla, looking for a highly motivated individuals with right attitude to immediately fill the above vacancies. Candidates residing close proximity to Pelmadulla area are encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibilities
- ENGINEERING ASSISTANT
Effectively co-ordinate with all appropriate parties on-site and off-site to collect all necessary information and to quality control of all construction works.
Reading drawings to its finest details with all cross references for verification of the accuracy of the information available and to execute the work at site accordingly.
Executing setting-out and survey works according to the latest details available alongside keeping all required records and back-up information well organized.
Ability to supervise, monitor and control of daily deploying direct labour, domestic and nominated subcontractor works as well.
Ensure to maintain all required health and safety aspects at site.
Candidate Profile
- NDES, NDT, HNDE or equivalent with over 10 years or NCT with over 12 years of post-qualifying working experience in reputed building construction organizations.
- Experience in construction of residential buildings with high end finishes is mandatory.
- Ability to complete the assigned tasks on time while meeting the required quality aspects and accuracy having minimal supervision and working under pressure.
- Selected candidate should be able to work long hours as and when required.
SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR
IMMEDIATE VACANCIES
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bill of Quantities, rate build-ups, etc. by reviewing construction drawings, specifications and any other associated documents.
- Verify and validate subcontractor payments, timely prepare interim payments through to final accounts ensuring efficient cash-flows of the projects while effective cost reporting.
- Keep in track of design modifications/revisions in order to proper change control of projects in terms of time and costs.
- Monitor material inventory and initiate material procurement in line with the construction progress of projects to ensure efficient usage of materials and machinery as well.
- Efficiently manage and oversee multiple construction projects.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma or above qualification from a recognized institution/university with over 10 years of post-qualifying working experience in reputed building construction organizations.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts, contract administration, market conditions of construction materials & processes and hence to efficient cost controlling.
- Excellent communication skills in both written & verbal aspects, strong negotiation skills and interpersonal skills establishing & maintaining professional relationships with all stakeholders of projects.
- Computer literacy in MS Office, AutoCAD and other related software.
