Central Warehouse Manager
EAM Maliban Textiles (Tops Cluster) - Corporate Office- Wattala
We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion to pursue a career in the apparel industry. The ideal candidate should be energetic, a team player with excellent communication, a proactive attitude, ability to be self-motivated and work independently to achieve deadlines.
Job Role
- Strategically manage warehouse operations including inventory control, storage, and distribution of materials and finished products.
- Lead and develop warehouse team to deliver unparalleled service.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy, safety, and performance in daily warehouse operations.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Identify and develop cost savings in support of departmental goals and strategies.
- Handle all the processes, systems, and documentation related to the warehouse operations.
- Develop and continuously improve the logistics strategy to meet current and future volume of projections.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices and make sure all compliance standards are followed.
- Be proactive and have a continuous improvement mindset to meet the future requirement of the warehouse operations.
- Familiar with inventory software and able to maintain the data accuracy of the system. Coordinating and liaising with the sister companies to make sure the smooth functioning of central warehouse.
Individual Profile
- Degree or Diploma in Warehouse and Supply Chain / Logistics / Business Management or any other related field.
- The ideal candidate should be 45 years or below.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in similar capacity in the apparel sector.
- Excellence in analytical, problem-solving skills and time management.
- Sound knowledge in ERP systems.
- Computer literacy and attention to detail would assist in making right decisions in dynamic environments.
