Intern - Procurement
FUNCTION:

We offer, active student of the final year or recently graduates the opportunity to gain practical work experience. Our internship program offers you a diverse academic backgrounds the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with UTP through several departments. Interns at UTP get experiential learning opportunities in various sectors and a meaningful internship experience that will support your academic, professional & personal development.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY:
- Interns should work within the organizational dynamics gaining first-hand knowledge and experience in Procurement related activities.
- Follow up deliveries from local, international suppliers & coordinating with related departments.
- Supporting the procurement team in collecting data from departments, analyzing & preparing reports.
- Maintain the accuracy of ETA in SAP based on the order confirmation from suppliers.
- Ensuring necessary packaging material availability to the production plan.
- Obtaining quotations from existing & potential suppliers when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Active students from the final academic year in Supply chain or Business Management etc. from a recognized university/Institute
- Proficient in English both speaking & writing.
- Person with strong academic performance & engaged in extracurricular activities.
- An Individual who is self-motivated, hardworking, and well-organized.
- Person with IT skills on MS office programs.
- Living close to Katunayake or who can travel here daily.
