Established in 2021, Cloud Atlantic has been supporting a successful well-established portfolio of SAAS and retail businesses across Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia. About the role

This role supports Teoh Capital teohcapital.com, a private equity firm in Australia with experienced private company investors. Teoh Capital predominantly invests in B2B software and retail companies that generate annual revenues up to AUD 100 million. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic team.

This role is integral to our financial operations, with an immediate focus on reviewing profitability of portfolio companies and supporting them with commercial and operational matters, including ad-hoc projects as may arise. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial principles, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record in setting up and optimizing processes and systems. As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of our financial processes, compliance with regulations, and successful execution of strategic initiatives.

The core responsibilities include:

  • Analysing profitability of portfolio companies and providing insights into operations.
  • Setting up and optimizing processes for efficient handling of finance functions across portfolio companies.
  • Monitoring and reviewing statutory VAT and tax lodgements.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Preparing year-end financial statements and tax returns.
  • Ownership of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Managing a team of local accountants.
  • Assisting with any ad-hoc requests from management.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Full member of a recognized accountancy institute such as ICASL, ACCA, or CIMA. Should have a minimum of three to four years of working experience in a similar capacity.
  • Exposure to SAP would be an added advantage.
  • Prior experience with Australian companies preferable, but not necessary.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and an investigative nature.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Should possess a good command of English.

Our client requires this person to work AU business hours of 9 am to 5 pm. Some flexibility is available. Currently, our staff is set up to work from home. In the future, we expect to operate a hybrid workplace. Cloud-based technology.
