Head of Engineering
C.W. Mackie PLC, a business conglomerate with over 120 years of corporate legacy, is a leading Import/Export Trading, Manufacturing and Marketing Company listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
The Company operates in diversified business sectors under three main operating clusters, FMCG, Industrial Products & Commodity Trading. With focus on various Manufacturing operations such as TSR, Sole Crepe, Moulded rubber products, Sugar based products and branded FMCG based food and beverage products. We operate 8 factories & work sites located in the western province. The Company, a highly trusted entity in the trade among its consumers/customers is preparing for future growth.
We are now seeking a self-motivated individual, to join our team of professionals in the position mentioned above.
JOB PROFILE:
- Formulating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for machinery & equipment.
- New machinery installment, upgrading projects, relocating & evaluating of spare part requirements.
- Total responsibility for preventive maintenance and repairs of manufacturing machinery, lab equipment, pump systems, water purification, pneumatic control, HVAC and electric systems. Facility maintenance management/New project initiatives.
- Promoting OHS (Occupational Health & Safety) guidelines, conducting safety inspections/audit, and fostering safety culture within the manufacturing facilities.
- Lead cross-functional teams in cost reduction, Lean protocol projects, providing guidance and support to ensure successful execution and alignment with company goals.
- Lead Lean management practices with relevant process owners and HOD's.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Candidate should possess a Degree in Engineering from a reputed University or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years working experience in a lean manufacturing industry or a similar industrial environment.
- Excellent problem solving, technical, analytical, conceptual, negotiation, interpersonal, leadership, project management skill.
