MARITIME INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL
We are leading stevedoring service provider company in Sri Lanka. MIT was founded with the primary objective of supplying specialized manpower for ports. Currently, MIT is instrumental in training and managing a substantial portion of the workforce deployed at the East Container Terminal Stage (ECT) in Colombo Port. We are Looking to Fill the below-mentioned position immediately.
Scope of the job
Terminal Coordinator
Responsible for Overseeing the Quay Operation, Quay Transfer Operation, Yard Operation, and Gate Operation by coordinating various activities, managing resources, and ensuring that all terminal processes run smoothly and safely.
Requirements:
- Should pass GCE Advanced Level (A/L) examination in Mathematics/Science stream or an equivalent educational qualification from a recognized institution.
- NVQ Level 5 or 6 Qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in container terminal operations or logistics.
- Should possess a strong physique and have intact vision and hearing (Medical test is required) willing to work on Roster/Shift basis. Participation in a sport will be considered an added qualification. Willing to work on Roster/Shift basis.
- Excellent commanding and communications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on safety.
- Age Limit 35 years.
Wharf Controller (Hatch Clerk)
Scope of the job
Responsible for accurately and promptly loading/Unloading containers to/from a vessel, and ensuring timely and precise updates within the system.
Requirements:
- Should pass GCE Advanced Level (A/L) examination in any stream or equivalent educational qualification from a recognized institution with should pass GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) with Credit pass.
- English Language proficiency.
- NVQ 5 Qualification/Computer certification course from recognized institution.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Wharf controller (Hatch Clerk).
- Should possess a strong physique and have intact vision and hearing (Medical test is required).
- Willing to work on Roster/Shift.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on safety.
- Below 35 years.
