Centre for Poverty Analysis
- The Centre for Poverty Analysis (CEPA) is a dynamic and independent Think Tank providing professional services on poverty related development issues. CEPA is registered as a Company Limited by Guarantee under the Companies Act of Sri Lanka. CEPA's thematic areas include Basic Services and Social Protection, Natural Resources, Climate and Poverty, Livelihood and Employment, Labour Migration, Social Cohesion and Reconciliation and Gender and Development. CEPA works with a range of organisations, including government agencies, international financial institutions, multilateral agencies, as well as international and local NGOs.
CEPA seeks qualified, dynamic and experienced professional for the post below.
Accounts Executive
Tasks/responsibilities:
- Completion of monthly Management Accounts and financial accounts
- Assist finance team in cashflow management
- Responsible for payment processes pertaining to all payments
- Carryout bank reconciliations and handle correspondences with the banks
- Assist in project budgeting and overall finances of allocated projects
- Update revenue reconciliation database
- Generate MIS reports related to finance and submit for decision making
- To conduct annual financial audits by complying with SLASS
- Ensure relevant taxes are deducted as per contractual agreements and timely submission of those to IRD
- Maintain financial records in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications and skills:
- A degree in accountancy from a government university or CA SAB campus/Business Level 11 of CASL & AAT qualified
- Minimum 4 years of Audit and/or Commercial sector experience
- Development sector experience will be an added advantage
- Pay attention to details
- Be computer literate
- Possess good interpersonal skills
