Hortifarm is a leading agricultural enterprise dedicated to producing high-quality fruits and vegetables. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Manager to oversee our daily operations and ensure the smooth running of our farms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations and staff, ensuring adherence to procedures and guidelines.
- Monitor and control plant health in nurseries, tunnels, and open fields, implementing pest and disease management strategies.
- Organize and oversee the weekly harvesting, sorting, packaging, and delivery of produce to Fantasy storage in Male.
- Maintain and manage inventory of seeds, fertilizers, bio-pesticides, tools, and fuel, placing timely orders as needed.
- Ensure regular maintenance and cleanliness of tunnels, equipment, machinery, and infrastructure.
- Oversee the maintenance and safety of all vessels, including dhoni, launch, and dinghy, and ensure proper management of generators and desalination plants.
- Handle administrative tasks, including staff attendance, overtime, and reporting, and ensure compliance with rules and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports, including harvest forecasts and progress updates.
Qualifications:
- Possess a bachelor's degree in Agriculture, or an equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in agricultural management.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management and logistics.
