Job Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant at FITS Express - ASC for UPS Sri Lanka. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and analyzing data. The Accountant will also be responsible for assisting with budgeting, auditing, and tax preparation.

SKILLS
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international accounting standards.
- Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate tax filings and audits.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA, CIMA or similar.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the logistics or courier industry.
- Strong knowledge of international accounting standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
