SENIOR DEPUTY MANAGER - BUDGETING
Facilitate the Bank's overall strategic planning process while performing the annual budgeting/re-forecast of the Bank. Ensure the provision of meaningful, accurate and timely information and analysis required for monitoring the bank's performance and assist in decision making in order to meet the long term strategic objectives.
THE JOB
- Responsible for preparation of the Bank budget including the business segment wise budgets.
- Ensure variance against budget is monitored and corrective action is being initiated for budget variances.
- Compile necessary reports and provide with required presentations for the Senior Management.
- Analyze past trends and performance indicators.
- Coordinate/carry out the relevant market research and competitor research relevant to the strategic planning process.
- Preparation of Capex and Opex Budgets liaising with respective business lines.
- Provide business units with sufficient information to make informed decisions and plans.
- Liaise with the senior management and the business units to set budgets and targets for business units that are in line with the bank's long term strategy.
- Closely monitor the budgets and its deviations monthly and report to the Management.
- Preparation of roll-over budgets and annual financial forecasts in order to meet the long term strategic objectives of the Bank. Identify cost reduction initiatives and drive with the relevant business units to reduce the overall budgeted cost targets.
- Coordinate with Group Personnel and provide Individual Group Budgets to complete the Bank's Annual Budgeting Process.
THE PERSON:
- Possess Full/Part qualified in CA/ACMA/ACCA or Post Graduate Qualification in Masters/ MSc/ MBA (Banking and Finance related Degree will be added advantage).
- Possess around 8-10 years of finance sector experience with a more than 5 years in planning and budgeting managerial level experience.
- Knowledge on budgeting techniques and strategies.
- Experience In system based budgeting modules.
- Possess excellent communication and analytical Skills.
