MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
MAKEEN Energy Lanka Pvt. Ltd. is a leading global LP Gas-filling equipment manufacturing organization dedicated to delivering top-quality products while maintaining a strong commitment to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability. We are currently seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Engineer to ensure the optimal functioning and safety of our facility's infrastructure and equipment.
Position Overview:
The Facility Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our manufacturing facility, including building systems, machinery, and equipment. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facility infrastructure including, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment and systems to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure timely and effective maintenance activities. Coordinate with production and operations teams to address maintenance needs and support continuous production.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Identify opportunities for facility improvements and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
- Manage and supervise external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance tasks.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in facility maintenance techniques and technologies.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in facility maintenance engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
