Veracity Group is the global outsourcing arm of St Anthony's Group of Industries, specializing in Business Process Management and Knowledge Process Management Services in key areas of Finance & Accounting, Process Automation, Data Science & AI, Mobility and Customer Experience Services. We cater to a diverse portfolio of clients from the US, UK, Australia, Middle East and Sri Lanka.
We are looking for experienced resources to join our team for a Power & Energy company in the Middle East. This position will be based in Sri Lanka. Our client is a developer, investor and operator of power generation and desalinated water plants with 64 assets in operation, construction, or advanced development across 13 countries, with an investment value in excess 66 Billion.
The Role
- Identify, evaluate, and manage diverse risks (market, environmental, regulatory, etc.) related to business development and investments.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments, stress tests, and viability evaluations for investments, acquisitions, JVs, and major projects.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including commodity hedging and political/environmental risk monitoring.
- Partner with Business Development and Investment teams to integrate risk insights into due diligence and project evaluations.
- Assess and manage the impact of environmental regulations and ESG standards on investments and ensure alignment with evolving regulatory frameworks.
- Track emerging risks, maintain risk dashboards, and present actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Develop and monitor ERIs to proactively identify and address risks across sectors and projects.
- Work with legal, finance, tech, and compliance teams; lead stakeholder training; and embed risk management in decision-making processes.
The Person
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., FRM, CFA, PRM) is mandatory.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in risk management, business development, or investment analysis, preferably within large-scale infrastructure or investment-heavy industries.
- Strong capability in evaluating investment risks, market volatility, regulatory impacts, and applying advanced risk management methodologies.
- Proficient in financial modeling (Excel, VBA, Python), with deep knowledge of financial instruments, market dynamics, and pricing models.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills; proactive, accountable, and effective in cross-functional collaboration.
