HYGIENE & QUALITY ASSURANCE ASSISTANT

The Person We Are Looking For..

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated person of good character with professional qualifications, ethics and with outstanding communication skills for the post of Hygiene & Quality Assurance Assistant. The successful candidate will report to Hygiene & Quality Assurance Manager of the company and be responsible for tasks optimizing the productivity of the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Review all food safety and environmental management records efficiently.
  • Monitoring of All Quality Assurance activities throughout all SBUs including Flight Kitchen, Airport Restaurant, Lounges, SriLankan Airlines Cafeteria operation.
  • Conduct quality and hygiene audits and identify deviations in process and standards.
  • Inspection of suppliers in the aspect of hygiene and quality.
  • Microbiological & Chemical analysis of Food / Water samples.
  • Liaise with other departments in the discharge of the above responsibilities.
  • Responsible for updating and assuring ISO document accuracy and control.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 02 years’ or more Experience in the relevant field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Food Science, Microbiology or any other similar discipline.
  • Full or Part Professional Qualification in the relevant field.
  • Working experience in HACCP, OSH, GMP and/or other regulated environments.
  • G.C.E (O/L) with 06 passes including Mathematics & English.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills, negotiation skills & problem solving skills.
  • Sound planning and organizing skills coupled with a methodical approach to work.
