Position Overview:
The E-Commerce Manager leads online distribution strategies to maximize revenue and market share across all digital channels. This role focuses on optimizing the resort's website performance, managing third-party relationships, and implementing data-driven approaches to increase bookings and average rates. Key functions include electronic distribution management, competitor analysis, and strategic digital sales development.
E-Commerce Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage room types, rates and availability across all electronic distribution channels while ensuring rate parity.
- Optimize resort website performance to improve traffic and conversion rates.
- Monitor and analyze OTA performance, producing regular reports on channel production.
- Maintain optimal content across all digital platforms including the resort website, OTAs, and GDS.
- Develop relationships with OTA market managers to enhance property positioning and conversion.
- Conduct competitor rate analyses to maintain strategic pricing and revenue maximization.
- Identify and recommend new third-party platforms in major feeder markets.
- Analyze SEO, online traffic, and sales reports to develop effective digital strategies.
- Collaborate with Business Development, Marketing, and Revenue teams to achieve targets.
- Manage RFP requests and submissions in coordination with the Director of Business Development.
- Implement effective cost control measures while adhering to internal approval procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in E-Commerce in hospitality. Experience in Maldives will be an added advantage.
- Experience using and managing Property Management System (PMS), OTA extranets and Channel Manager.
- Good understanding in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and pay per click (PPC) tactics on Google, Yandex & Bing.
- Experience in using Content Management Systems (CMS), Social Media, Email marketing.
- Well versed in Google products.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into action.
- Excellent negotiation skills for managing relationships with OTAs and digital partners.
