An inspiring experience in a well-reputed and leading Launderette in Colombo city, ‘Sunshine Launderette’ (Sunshine Services) is currently serving a large customer base providing solutions to Washing, Pressing, and Dry-cleaning needs. Sunshine Services has a well-experienced set of staff of over 100 and 16 outlets. The main washing plant is situated in Mathegoda.

Candidate should ideally

  • Graduate or with equivalent qualifications preferably in Business Management.
  • 05 to 08 years of work experience preferably in a factory environment out of which 03 years as a Manager handling operational activities.
  • Previous work experience in the field of laundry management/washing plant will be an added advantage.
  • Through knowledge of operational management systems, processes, and best practices, including formulating strategies to improve performance, procuring material needs, resource planning, and securing compliance.
  • Business leader with cost-controlling knowledge and profit-improving ability.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and leadership ability.
  • A good motivator and people’s leader.
  • Age between 40 to 50 years.

The candidate will be responsible for

  • Ensure companies' products and services meet quality and standards, monitor quality assurance systems, and implement efficient changes to meet market conditions and customer demands.
  • Managing the factory/washing plant efficiently and profitably with market-accepted standards to enhance performance.
  • Monitoring and supervising the workflow, including washing, pressing, dry cleaning, QC process, product accepting, and release process.
  • Maintaining the machinery, planning routing services, etc., with the support of the relevant engineers.
  • Manage Companies' operational budgets, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
  • Analyse financial data to identify opportunities for reducing costs and improving profitability.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures to mitigate potential risks.
  • Identify staff training needs and implement suitable knowledge-building programs.
  • Managing all day-to-day work operations efficiently and ensuring a smooth workflow.
