We are looking for a results-driven and experienced Senior Executive – Accounts Payable (AP)/Receivable (AR) to take ownership of end-to-end AP/AR operations and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will play a key role in overseeing daily transaction processing, managing vendor and customer accounts, reconciling complex accounts, preparing financial reports, and driving continuous process improvements while ensuring compliance with international accounting standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, customer billing, and related financial transactions.
  • Review complex or high-value invoices and ensure proper PO, GRN/SRN matching and approvals are in place.
  • Monitor and manage AP and AR aging reports, ensuring timely payments to vendors and proactive follow-ups with customers.
  • Reconcile vendor and customer accounts, clearing outstanding balances, advances, and intercompany transactions.
  • Perform periodic reconciliations of AP/AR control accounts, clearing accounts, and bank transactions.
  • Coordinate with procurement, sales, treasury and other internal teams to resolve discrepancies or disputes efficiently.
  • Lead the preparation of financial reports including AP/AR aging analysis, cash flow forecasts, and payment schedules.
  • Support the month-end closing process by ensuring all transactions are accurately posted and schedules prepared.
  • Interface with auditors and provide all required documentation for internal and external audit processes.
  • Evaluate current AP/AR processes, identify gaps, and recommend/implement best practices to improve accuracy, compliance, and turnaround times.
  • Mentor and guide junior executives, assisting in task delegation and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, tax regulations, and accounting standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • CA / ACCA / CMA part-qualified (or equivalent professional qualification).
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in a finance role, with at least 1-2 year in a senior or supervisory capacity.
  • Prior experience in AP/AR in sectors such as manufacturing, engineering, or construction is highly preferred.
  • At least 2-3 year of mid-tier to Big 4 (KPMG / EY / PwC / Deloitte) audit firm experience & commercial experience is a must.
  • Previous experience in a BPO or shared service center environment is a strong advantage.
  • Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, SAGE, EPICOR, or similar systems.
  • Exposure to multi-currency transactions and dealing with international vendors and clients.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including advanced Pivot Table, advanced Excel Data tab functions; familiarity with financial modeling and reporting tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and support a remote, cross-border finance team.
  • Must be willing to work on Oman shift (09:30 a.m. – 06:30 p.m. | Sunday – Thursday).
