Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all necessary customs documentation for smooth clearance of goods.
- Classify goods with correct tariff codes to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize duty payments.
- Oversee the preparation and review of shipping documents (invoices, bills of lading, packing lists).
- Secure cost-effective transportation rates through negotiation with shipping lines and logistics providers.
- Manage the movement of goods by land, sea, or air, ensuring timely delivery.
- Arrange cargo insurance and assist with claims when necessary.
- Identify potential logistics risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Provide exceptional support to clients, handling inquiries and resolving shipment-related issues.
- Stay updated on customs regulations and trade policies to minimize risks.
- Maintain accurate records for compliance and auditing.
Ideal Candidate Should Possess
- Degree or diploma in logistics, or supply chain management.
- Prior experience in handling imports, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and tariff classifications.
- Possess good knowledge in MS Excel and other software in Office package.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
