ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT CUM STORE KEEPER

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant cum Store Keeper to join our team! This role involves a blend of inventory management and basic accounting functions to ensure seamless stock control and financial accuracy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming medical stock, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and verifying quality and quantity against purchase orders.
  • Maintain proper storage conditions, follow the First-Expiry-First-Out (FEFO) method, and conduct stock audits to ensure accurate inventory levels and prevent expired stock wastage.
  • Oversee stock issuance, deliveries, and transfers between storage locations while ensuring accurate documentation and smooth operational flow.
  • Assist in maintaining financial records related to inventory, including purchase invoices, stock valuations, and reconciliation reports to support financial accuracy.
  • Ensure timely and precise documentation of stock transactions in the accounting system and assist in preparing inventory cost analysis and financial reports.
  • Assist in processing supplier invoices, liaise with the finance team on payments, and maintain records for audits and compliance checks.
  • Monitor stock levels, identify discrepancies, address operational issues, and work proactively to enhance efficiency in stock management and accounting tasks.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in inventory management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and experience in stock-related financial documentation.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations, stock control procedures, and industry compliance standards for handling medical products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (ERP experience will be an advantage).
  • Attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate inventory and financial records.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to manage stock efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely stock availability and accurate financial reporting.
