HEAD OF SUPPLY CHAIN
We are looking for a dynamic and proactive individual to oversee the entire Procurement and Warehouse Operations ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to industry best practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
- Review and approve purchase orders (POs), goods receipt notes (GRNs), and supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement best practices.
- Monitor and enhance ERP system functionality to improve procurement and warehouse operations, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and efficiency in inventory tracking and supplier management.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives, conduct market research, and analyze purchasing trends to optimize procurement decisions while minimizing financial and operational risks.
- Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory control, space utilization, and adherence to safety and compliance standards, while preventing overstocking or shortages.
- Develop and enforce procurement and warehouse policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in consultation with management, ensuring regulatory and company-wide compliance.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to meet business needs and liaise with government authorities on procurement and warehouse-related administrative functions.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement Management, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications would be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong analytical and financial skills to assess data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive strategic decision-making.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
