Key Responsibilities Include:
- Establish and enhance best practices for DevOps within the team
- Mentor junior DevOps team members
- Work with software/test engineers to ensure development follows best practices and processes
- Work with cloud platforms and containerization to support scalability of our software solutions
- Implement CI/CD strategies to support rapid delivery of software
- Define and build frameworks for software and application deployment
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, SMEs, and project team members to successfully deliver desired outcomes
- Provide training where applicable. E.g., run through changes to systems and how they work
Qualifications/Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or in a related field
- Work Experience: 7+ years of software development experience with at least 3 years in DevOps
- Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Go)
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Ability to implement CI/CD pipelines
- Experience implementing Kubernetes-based infrastructure is a must
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
- Proficiency with git workflows
- Experience with containerization platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experienced in applying agile methodologies to deliver software solutions
- Experience working with JIRA/Confluence highly desired
- Strong stakeholder management experience
- Results driven
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and fine attention to detail
- A self-starter or highly motivated individual
- Ability to generate enthusiasm among team members
- Effective time management and personal organizational skills
- Strong leadership skills and ability to teach others
