Credit Controller
Our client, a well-established Group located in the Colombo District, manufactures a range of FMCG products for the local market. They are currently seeking a well-experienced, dynamic individual to lead the Credit Control function across General Trade, Institutional Sales, and Modern Trade channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow up on trade-related debtors, ensure completeness of collections, follow up on returned cheques from nominated distributors, and initiate necessary actions.
- Coordinate and follow up with the Sales Administration, Warehouse, and Legal divisions in executing SOPs.
- Liaise with Modern Trade channels regarding outstanding invoices to ensure prompt payments.
- Implement collection strategies to minimize outstanding debt and improve cash flow.
- Process credit limit enhancements for General Trade and Modern Trade channels.
- Implement approved price corrections on the ERP system.
- Manage bank guarantees and ensure timely renewals.
- Prepare and circulate MIS reports on debtors.
- Recommend dealer terminations in line with established SOPs.
- Handle documentation for new customer accounts.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Fully or partly qualified in Credit Management or Accounting.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience managing a credit portfolio in an FMCG, Manufacturing Company, or Group.
- Good understanding of credit policies and regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Tally Accounting System, and ERP platforms is a distinct advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and a demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive performance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
