Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) is a governmental organization affiliated with the Ministry of Health and Welfare of the Republic of Korea. KOFIH provides government-level health assistance for partner countries and strives to fulfill our roles and responsibilities as Korea’s leading organization dedicated to healthcare support and cooperation. KOFIH has been cooperating with the Ministry of Health of Sri Lanka to strengthen the medical equipment management system in Sri Lanka since 2019. Position: A full-time Project Manager of KOFIH Sri Lanka Office

KOFIH runs public health operations with substantial amount of financial resources to effectively implement its collaborative program with the Sri Lankan Government. In order to successfully carry out our due mission, KOFIH is seeking one qualified Sri Lankan-national candidate to join in our office for the position of a Project Manager of KOFIH Sri Lanka Office.

Conditions of Contract

  • Terms of employment: From the date of signing employment contract in May to 31 December 2025 subject to 3-months probationary period with possibility for annual extension based on work performance
  • Salary: Competitive
  • Benefits: The newly hired employee will be eligible for benefits refer to Sri Lankan Law and KOFIH regulation, after the probation period comes to an end.

Description of Duties

  • Duty hours: 8:30 AM-4:30 PM (Mon-Fri)
  • Duty location: KOFIH Sri Lanka office in Colombo (Employee may work any place within the project area under the instruction of the employer)
  • Work scope:
    • Be responsible for planning and management of the project in order to achieve targets in accordance with the approved work plan and project framework.
    • Perform monitoring activities at project sites (biomedical engineering units, hospitals, health centers, etc.) and submit reports.
    • Manage all aspects of M&E activities including data collection, screening, review, analysis and report.
    • Carry out administrative and secretarial duties such as drafting official letters and documents, translation, facilitating meetings with local & international healthcare partners, preparing the minutes, etc.
    • Perform other tasks that may be required by the office.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Sri Lankan National, residency in Colombo is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in international development, medicine, biomedical engineering or any related field in health sector
  • At least 4 years of work experience (or 2 years after earning Master’s degree) with NGO or international organization in a similar position, including coordination, project management or consultancy roles within healthcare sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills in English and Sinhala
  • Solid knowledge of project management.
  • Strong budget development, tracking and reporting skills using computerized programs.
  • Strong report writing and data collection skills, as well as interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office.
  • Must possess strong social and ethical qualities.
