Company Overview:
House of Travels & Tourism (Pvt) Ltd., is a leading inbound tourism Destination Management Company in Sri Lanka representing several prominent European Tour Agents in Sri Lanka for travel services.
Position Overview:
The Finance Manager will be responsible to manage the company's overall financial operation and report to the Board of Management ensuring the financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand IFRS well and ensure compliance with local financial and tax regulations.
- Engage in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Management.
- Control cash flow management and working capital outlays.
- Analyze financial risks well ahead of time and discuss with the Board of Management on mitigating initiatives and implement them on time.
- Provide strategic financial advice and recommendations to enhance profitability.
- Manage accounting, audits, and financial controls.
- Drive initiatives within the finance department for continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant - Minimum is a Passed ICA finalist, or CIMA qualified.
- Must have at least 3 years of audit experience in a reputed audit firm.
- Minimum 7 years overall experience with 3 years in the tourism and/or hospitality industry or in a service sector.
- Updated knowledge of local tax regulations, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage work under pressure environment and meet deadlines.
- Experience in financial systems, ERP, and accounting software.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
