Intern - Design

As Intern — Design, you will be reporting to the Manager — Design of the SBU. You will support the Design team with trend research, concept development, sketching, detailing and translating into samples.
Responsibilities
- Participating cross-functionally and gaining an understanding of the role of design in the product life cycle.
- Identifying the steps that designers go through in designing a line including trend research, concept development, sketching, detailing and translating into samples.
- Learning more about the day-to-day tasks accomplished by a designer including sketching, creating tech packs and line sheets, communicating with cross-functional teams and preparing for seasonal presentations.
- Providing research, maintenance and support for assigned departmental projects and tasks.
- Participating and providing feedback in group meetings and discussions if applicable.
- Creating technical sketch’s (CADs on Illustrator) and BOM creations.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate in the field of Fashion Design or Textile Technology from a recognized university/institute.
- Detail-oriented individual with strong organizational, communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
- Computer proficiency with an emphasis on Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Strong sketching skills.
- Possesses a positive outlook.
- Be methodical and good at prioritizing work under demanding circumstances.
