Import Bill Payments and Import Counter
Trade Department

You should ideally,
- possess 5-6 years of experience in trade services
- experience in handling of import LC, DA and DP payments
- knowledge of ICC regulations, import and export control regulations, CBSL regulations
- knowledge in shipping guarantee issuance and cancellation process
- knowledge in import regulatory reporting & ensure the timely submission of the same to CBSL
- should be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks as needed
You will be mainly responsible for;
- processing of payments related to Import DA and DP, LC Bills
- preparation of MT 103 and MT 202
- liaising with branches, clients, business units, banks where necessary
- responding to queries related to payments from Nostro banks
- processing of shipping guarantee issuance, copy doc endorsement
- follow-up with clients, business units for cancellation of shipping guarantee/copy documents endorsement
- engage/overlook the monthly reconciliation process
- processing/lodging of LC acceptance and/or DA acceptance
Candidates will preferably have exposure in all above mentioned areas, however exposure in any one of the mentioned areas will also be considered for selection.
