MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Industry: Food Manufacturing
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimization of all manufacturing equipment to ensure operational efficiency
- Design and implement preventive maintenance strategies aimed at minimizing downtime and maximizing equipment lifespan.
- Evaluate production processes to identify and address areas for continuous improvement, enhancing overall productivity
- Lead and manage engineering projects, including the introduction of new products, equipment upgrades, and process innovations
- Develop comprehensive project plans, set clear timelines, and manage budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective execution
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related professional qualification
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer
- A minimum of 8 to 10 years of managerial experience in manufacturing, with at least 2 years focused on food production
- Hands-on experience within the coconut industry, especially with boilers, dryers, oil expellers, and filters, is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food quality control and safety standards, including ISO 22000 and HACCP Food Safety and Quality Control procedures, is required
