Head of Engineering
The LK Domain Registry registers domain names in Sri Lanka since its inception in 1990. In addition to domain registration services, we provide several value-added services, and are currently expanding these services to serve the country better. The Registry is also mandated to develop the Internet in the country.
We are looking for a capable and self-motivated individual to head the engineering team in our organisation, which, in addition to the Registry, supports TechCERT- Sri Lanka's first and premier IT security organization, and Foundation.LK - our social empowerment arm.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the engineering department, managing a team of engineers providing IT services with the highest standards of quality, reliability and performance.
- Develop and Implement our IT strategy by monitoring industry trends and technological advancements, ensuring the company remains competitive and innovative.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members and help them to develop their skills and careers.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Drive the implementation of best practices, including quality assurance, testing, and process optimization.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
- A relevant degree from a recognised institution with a masters degree or recognised professional qualification.
- Demonstrated competence, knowledge, skills, and ability in IT, product management and marketing.
- Five (5) years relevant experience including managerial experience.

- Proven track record in managing teams and delivering complex engineering projects.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex problems.
- Ability to adapt to changes and navigate challenges in fast-paced environments.
- Self-motivated and self organized.
