That’s why the MAS Foundation for Change works towards impactful biodiversity conservation and cleaner waterways, with an aim to prevent at least 2 million kilograms of waste entering the ocean through Sri Lanka's waterways every year. Join us as we deploy an innovative technology that traps floating debris around the island.
INTERN - MAS FOUNDATION FOR CHANGE
Qualifications and requirements:
- Ongoing or completed a Degree in Bio-Science, Environmental Studies, Communications or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in GIS (Geographic Information System) related projects or environmental and biodiversity projects will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support documentation and reporting on ocean strainer installations, waste management strategies and impact assessments.
- Conduct research on waste management practices and quantification methods.
- Identify and document pollution hotspots through site visits and field monitoring.
- Assist in the development of strategic plans for biodiversity and waste management initiatives.
- Provide procurement support including budgeting, vendor assessments and contract processes.
