Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Assistant Manager - Procurement to strengthen our supply chain team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, developing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services. This role requires strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational efficiency and business growth.

Your role will involve,

  • Assist in the development and execution of procurement strategies
  • Identify the company’s purchasing needs in collaboration with various departments
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with suppliers
  • Source new vendors and negotiate favorable terms to achieve the best value for the company
  • Implement best practices in sourcing, procurement, and inventory control
  • Continuously seek cost-saving opportunities through efficient procurement strategies
  • Monitor market trends and supply chain risks to minimize cost fluctuations
  • Enhance procurement processes and systems to ensure efficiency and compliance
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior procurement staff

You should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPM, or equivalent is plus
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
