Maliban Dairy & Agri Products (Pvt) Ltd, is a diversified local company which cultivates and manages Mango plantation with the aim of producing high quality TOMEJC (TEJC) mangoes under the brand of “Pure harvest” for export and local markets in accordance with the sustainable agricultural practices stipulated by the SL GAP and Global GAP programs. As part of our business expansion, we seek dynamic individuals to join us for the following position.
Position Available: MANAGER/ASSISTANT MANAGER
(MANGO PLANTATIONS-ATHIMALE, MONARAGALA)
JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to manage the operations of our plantation in Monaragala. The successful candidate will ensure the management of operations to produce high-quality mangoes in accordance with the best agriculture practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, organize and manage the entire operations of the plantations.
- Actively engage in managing and overseeing all activities related to cultivation, upkeep & maintenance and harvesting.
- Oversee all aspects of crop management, including irrigation, fertilization to achieve desired quantity and quality of fruits while ensuring proper agronomical practices are in place.
- Optimize resource allocation including labor utilization in order to achieve cost efficiencies and meet budget objectives.
- Maintain farm equipment and infrastructure by adhering to strict maintenance and service schedules.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS
- Degree, Higher National Diploma and or equivalent qualification in Agriculture, Agronomy or related field.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Proven track record of a minimum of 5 years’ experience producing high quality mangoes and or similar exposure in plantations management.
- Thorough knowledge in all stages of fruit development and the required care at each stage to produce export quality mangoes with exposure to modern farming methods, land management, export regulations and sustainability practices etc.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet required goals on time and under budget.
