Assistant Transport Manager
Rayin Food Products (Pvt) Ltd, is a leading food manufacturer in Sri Lanka having its production facility and the head office in Kurunegala. The company operates 03 production plants producing a vast range of food products. The company supplies to a larger number of customers including leading supermarket chains in the country. Its distribution arm covers many regions in the country.
We are on the lookout for an experienced Assistant Transport Manager to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage transport operations, including fleet, scheduling, and route planning.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to company policies.
- Lead and supervise drivers and transport staff efficiently.
- Optimize fuel consumption and transport costs.
- Coordinate with departments for efficient service delivery.
- Maintain vehicle records, servicing, and maintenance schedules.
- Handle breakdowns, accidents, and insurance claims.
- Oversee emission testing and license renewals.
Requirements
- Strong Knowledge of Transport Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of transport system and vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills to manage a dynamic transport team.
- Proficiency in MS Office and transport management tools is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Age between 35-45 years.
- A valid driving license is required.
- Close proximity to Kurunegala is preferable.
