The Person We Are Looking For..

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated person of good character with professional qualifications, ethics and with outstanding communication skills for the post of Executive – Quality, Health & Safety and Environment (QHSE). The successful candidate will report to the Hygiene & Quality Assurance Manager of the company and be responsible for tasks optimizing the productivity of the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Maintaining updated records/schedules of ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), 22000:2018 (FSMS), HACCP, 14001:2015 (EMS) and ISO 45001:2018 (OSHMS) Requirements.
  • Deliver good OHS&E & Security governance (structure, process and content) locally, in partnership with management & monitor the effectiveness of the governance structures, provide subject matter expertise.
  • Monitoring Departmental Quality/Food Safety, Environmental, OSH objectives & responsible for the periodic reviews (every 6 months) & prepare the Objective Analysis Report with regard to the achievement of targets together with the reasons for nonconformance.
  • Coordinate certification & surveillance audits by certifying body & ensure that any non-conformances and other audit outcomes are addressed as a priority.
  • Oversee the HSEQ system for reporting incidents and hazards and for capturing training records.
  • Development and completion of HSE& Safety Authority Health, Safety and Environment Compliance audits and site safety inspections.
  • To provide concise, factual and accurate information through status reports to the Strategic Lead for H&S, ensuring all information is available to enable effective decisions and improvements to be made.
  • Continual Improvement - Departmental Quality Improvement Teams suggestions/proposals to be analyzed every 6 months and report to Management Representative with regard to actions implemented/pending to be taken up at the Management Review Meetings for CEO’s recommendation.
  • Preparation of information/records for Management Review Meetings/periodical external audits by the certification body and airline audits (related to QHSE).

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology or any other similar qualification.
  • 01-year experience in Executive Capacity in a similar discipline.
  • Certified Lead auditor in 45001:2018 (OSHMS) / Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health (Safety Officer)
  • Working experience in ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), 22000:2018 (FSMS), HACCP, 14001:2015 (EMS) and ISO 45001:2018 (OSHMS) AND other regulated environments.
  • Full / Part Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline.
  • Credit passes for English and Mathematics for G.C.E. (O/L) and G.C.E. (A/L) qualification.
  • High Level of IT Literacy including sound knowledge in MS Office, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills, problem solving skills & analytical skills.
  • Sound planning and organizing skills coupled with a methodical approach to work.
