Accountant (Manager grade)
The above position is available at one of our client companies located at the Orien City, Colombo 09. With the rapid expansion of business, the Company is on the lookout for a dynamic and results-oriented individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility of the department including day-to-day accounting operations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, monthly management accounts, cash flow, etc.
- Handle tax matters and ensure timely submission of tax/statutory payments.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Support the Leadership for planned business growth and expansion.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A degree or a full professional qualification in Accounting or Finance.
- Proven experience as an Accountant with at least 10 years hands-on experience in accounting work preferably at an import/export or a manufacturing company.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. ERP, QuickBooks, Xero).
- Possess soft skills required by an Accountant such as attention to detail, analytical skills, etc.
