Central Bearings & Machinery (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in a dual-focused role combining preventive maintenance work with sales and client engagement. This position involves promoting our range of bearings, machinery, and equipment while supporting clients through expert technical service and solutions tailored to their industrial needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventive Maintenance & Technical Work
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on heavy machinery to ensure operational efficiency and extend equipment lifespan.
- Replace or refurbish components and maintain detailed logs of service activities.
- Sales & Product Promotion
- Assess customer requirements and actively promote machinery, equipment, and bearings by offering tailored solutions.
- Demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge to explain product benefits clearly to customers.
- Collaborate with the sales team on lead generation, proposals, and contract negotiations.
- Collaboration & Scheduling
- Coordinate with both maintenance and sales teams to align technical work with customer engagements.
- Manage and prioritize maintenance schedules, minimizing equipment downtime while maximizing client satisfaction.
- Process Improvement & Record-Keeping
- Continuously improve preventive maintenance processes and workflows.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sales activities, client interactions, maintenance records, and service reports.
- Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company protocols during service and demonstrations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and best practices.
Requirements:
- Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Technical Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience (experience with heavy machinery and preventive maintenance is a plus).
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and schematics.
- Sales Aptitude
- Strong ability to assess technical requirements and market appropriate solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship-building skills.
