PLANNING OFFICER – (BUTTALA)

What is the role?
As a Planning Officer, you will support the end-to-end production planning process across our dairy product lines, ensuring efficient use of resources, alignment with market demand, and consistent product availability.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Assist in developing and executing production plans for milk powder, ice cream, yoghurt, butter, and other dairy products.
- Maintain accurate rolling forecasts (quarterly, monthly, weekly, daily) to optimize inventory and production flow.
- Collaborate and work close with Demand Planning team for higher accuracy of production planning.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing team to ensure adequate raw material stock aligned with production forecasts.
- Contribute to the annual production budget by evaluating labor, material, and overhead costs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance productivity and reduce cycle times.
- Engage in cross-functional teams to implement best practices across planning and production.
- Ability to work in production planning tools such as NetSuit, M1 ERP, SIMIO etc.
- Prepare and present regular reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI for senior management.
What knowledge and skills are expected in an ideal candidate?
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in production planning or a manufacturing setting, preferably in dairy or FMCG sectors.
- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma are highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

This position is based at Buttala and accommodation allowance will be provided. Working days are from Monday to Friday, 7:30AM to 4:30PM and Saturday from 7:30AM to 12:30PM.
