Head of Sales - General Trade

To steer our General Trade Sales Division at our FMCG cluster to new heights, we are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader for the position of Head of Sales – General Trade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets for the General Trade channel.
- Build and lead a high-performing sales team by fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous development.
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
- Strengthening relationships with key distributors and retail partners to expand market presence.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing actionable insights to drive growth.
- Ensure effective territory management and optimal utilization of resources.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to drive brand visibility and promotional initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Should Possess:
- A proven track record of 10+ years in sales, with a significant portion in the FMCG or General Trade sector.
- At least 5 years' experience in a leadership role, managing large teams and multiple territories.
- A degree or professional qualification in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (an MBA is highly desirable).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to a fast-paced and competitive business environment.
