Senior Systems Engineer
We are a leading provider of AI-based solutions for Telecommunications, Banking & Finance, Cyber Security, and Logistics. Our HQ is in Stockholm, Sweden, with a development center in Sri Lanka where around one hundred software professionals work on our products. We’ve been operating in Sri Lanka for nearly 20 years, and we are in the world class IT office complex Maga One in Colombo 05.
We are looking for suitable candidates for the position of Senior Systems Engineer and would prefer an individual with:
- Over 7 years of hands-on industry experience
- Hands-on experience in administering Linux and windows servers
- Hands-on experience in Azure AD, O365, Intune and security & compliance
- Hands-on experience in configuring and tuning Application Servers (preferably WildFly/JBOSS)
- Hands-on experience in configuring and tuning Apache/Nginx for 24x7 available systems
- Hands-on experience in VMware/Virtualization
- Strong automation and scripting – Ansible, Bash/Python scripting, Git
- Very good understanding of network technologies - Firewalls, DMZ, DNS, DHCP, Routing, load balancing, NAT, port forwarding, Wi-Fi etc.
- Very good understanding of security technologies and methods (encryption and certificates, hardening of OS and applications, SSO, VPN, Antivirus, DDoS protection, WAF, SAST, DAST etc.)
- Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS): Managing server-less applications would be advantageous
Your responsibilities would be:
- Planning, building, and managing complex IT systems, hosted in a hybrid cloud.
- Implementation of IaC and Configuration Management and Maintain Availability KPIs
- Mentoring the fellow team members
- Following IT industry best practices, paying close attention to the Information Security and ITIL processes
- Ensuring the compliance for ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 and being part of external audits
- Communicating with 3rd parties and managing stakeholder engagements.
