Lalan Eco-Latex, a leader in Sri Lanka’s Bedding Comfort Enhancements owned by the Lalan Group of Companies. We are a B.O.I company with numerous factories located at Kaduwela, Katunayake and Kelaniya. Currently, we export our Natural and Organic latex mattresses, pillows and latex products around the world including the United States of America, Canada, China, Europe, Australia, and India. Key purpose of the Job
Are you a dynamic and skilled professional with a strong background in the manufacturing industry? We are seeking a talented Head of Finance to join our team at our Welivita factory. The ideal candidate should be an energetic team player with excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently while staying self-motivated to meet deadlines. The selected candidate who displays promise and performs up to expectations could look forward to a steady career with an attractive remuneration package.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning structure.
- Drive strategic business planning by providing strong financial insights, preparing budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and profit maximisation.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team by setting proper and effective KPIs, addressing training needs, and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly management reports.
- Manage working capital by optimising stock levels, ensuring efficient debtor collections, supplier settlements, and planning cash flows to maintain financial stability.
- Oversee tax compliance by ensuring effective tax planning, timely tax payments, filing of returns in collaboration with consultants and tax authorities.
- Optimise cost structures, implement cost-saving initiatives, design and implement incentive schemes to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
- Oversee audit and internal control operations.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance or a similar field from a recognized university in Sri Lanka, UK, or North America.
- Be a member of CA, ACCA, CIMA or similar qualifications.
Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, proficiency in ERP (SAP) systems.
- Should have an excellent knowledge and understanding in payment procedures (Preparation vouchers, approval process and documentation).
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
Experience
- At least 04 years of managerial level experience in a relevant field. Experience in a manufacturing environment will be an asset.

- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing financial data.
- Excellent understanding on the cashflow and working capital management.
