Senior Network Security Engineer
Cube Networks is on the hunt for a Senior Network Security Engineer to join their Sri Lanka team.
The role will involve undertaking day-to-day technical leadership responsibilities (technical guidance, processes, procedures, and continual service improvements) for a nominated Managed Account.
Day to day ticket management of incidents, and problems is a key aspect of the role.
There is a strong focus will be on the technical ownership and associated delivery of the Cube managed services where these exceed the service delivery standards (customer satisfaction) agreed with the business by fostering a highly responsive and customer focused team.
A key component to this role is the interaction with clients, their ICT teams and Cube’s internal business units.
A good customer service ethic, a willingness to take ownership of problems and be proactive is a requirement for this role.
The Senior Network Security Engineer will:
- Manage tickets in line with client contracted SLA
- Provide operational weekly communications with nominated managed account
- Be on call for priority after-hours break-fix incidents
- Drive proactive Problem Management activities across the nominated managed account
- Own the preventative Maintenance activities of the nominated managed account, including maintaining the reporting and presenting this in the MBRs
- Be available as a Level 3 operational support escalation for critical incidents. This includes taking on the Major Incident Management technical lead role for the managed account
- Be responsible for the ongoing Knowledge Management develop and maintenance of the nominated managed account
Relevant current industry certifications are essential in 2 or more of the following:
- Cisco Certifications – CCNP, CCIE, etc
- Fortinet Certifications – NSE7
- Juniper Certifications – JNCIA, JNCIE
- Palo Alto Certifications – PCNSE
- ITIL certification (essential)
