Assistant Manager - Trade Related Remittances

You should ideally

  • 10 years of experience handling outward remittances, primarily related to open account transactions, advance payments, and freight payments
  • possess knowledge of import/export control regulations related to international trade, as well as CBSL regulations
  • have a solid understanding of debits and credits related to BFCA and BLA
  • be experienced in handling queries from correspondent banks
  • be capable of responding to and advising clients and branches effectively

You will be responsible for

  • scrutinizing payments related to advance payments, open accounts, and freight payments
  • the final release of MT 103 transactions, including those related to open accounts, advance payments, and freight payments
  • responding to inquiries from correspondent banks
  • ensuring that all transactions comply with local and international regulations
  • advising branches and business units where necessary and responding to both internal and external customer queries
  • leading the remittance unit and ensuring the achievement of business objectives
  • leveraging knowledge of any other trade products, which will be considered an added advantage
