REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

Pelwatte Dairy Industries Limited, a leading Sri Lankan dairy company, is committed to producing high-quality products with 100% locally sourced milk. Since 2006, we have supported local farmers and contributed to the growth of Sri Lanka’s agricultural sector.

What is the role?

As a Regional Sales Manager, you will oversee the sales operations within your designated Region, ensuring that sales targets are met and exceeded. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing and motivating your sales team, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and distributors.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Develop plans and strategies to execute sales operations aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Deliver primary and re-distribution KPIs through the effective execution of route-to-market strategies in the designated region.
  • Manage distributors effectively and guide them towards becoming financially viable business partners of Pelwatte.
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to execute promotional campaigns.
  • Represent the company in regional trade shows and industry events.
  • Sales Pipeline management.
  • Approval of the credit limit of customers by the Sales Manager.

What knowledge and skills are expected in an ideal candidate?

  • Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in sales & marketing, having an MBA would be a definite advantage.
  • 5-6 years of experience in regional sales management, preferably in the FMCG industry, with 8-10 years overall experience in sales.
  • Possess strong leadership & managerial skills to train, develop & manage a dynamic sales force.
  • Possess high business acumen, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in Tamil is preferred, considering regional requirements.
