Job Responsibilities
- Build the team, motivate, retain, and achieve the branch objectives.
- Take overall responsibility for the branch, including overseeing performance in leasing, loans, fixed deposits, savings and general administration.
- Ensure an accepted level of credit and recovery management in the branch.
- Assess regional market conditions and identify current and prospective sales and marketing opportunities.
- Oversee all marketing, sales promotions and operational activities within the branch.
- Manage resources efficiently to achieve the profitability levels set for the period.
Person Specifications
- Proven track record of 5–8 years in the banking or finance sector as a branch manager, with a results-driven and customer-focused attitude.
- A degree and/or professional qualifications (full or part) in Sales & Marketing, Banking & Finance or Credit Management would be an added advantage.
- The ideal candidate should have a hands-on approach and be committed to increasing branch profitability by achieving sales targets (KPIs).
- Thorough understanding of the rules and regulations governing business operations in the banking and finance industry.
- The preferred candidate should be under 40 years of age and possess excellent communication skills.
