BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – HEATING & COOLING
Responsibilities
- Identify potential customers and leverage market knowledge and expertise to increase the Sales of Steam Boilers, Thermic Fluid Heaters and other Heating Equipment.
- Prepare techno-commercial offers and reports.
- Manage negotiations of sales contracts and order closures.
- Provide design parameters for customized products and strategize the sales of newly launched products by liaising with Principals.
- Liase with Associates to develop sales strategies, derive Annual Business Plans, driving market share in all product lines.
- Execute internal and external business strategies to optimize customer relationships.
- Manage monthly information sheets (MIS) and year-end close processes with Associates and within the Business Development Division.
- Work with Business Intelligence and Marketing to improve the Business of assigned verticals.
- Organize Customer Meet Forums to present new products and engineering solutions to overcome manufacturing challenges.
- Recruit sales team, set objectives, define roles and responsibilities, and monitor performance, conduct performance review, ensuring their KPI objectives are achieved.
- Identify potential gaps within the team and work with them to fulfill them.
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of experience in the field of Capital Equipment Sales such as boilers, Chillers, Compressors, DG Sets etc in Sri Lanka & Maldives etc
- Degree / Diploma in Thermodynamics, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering from a reputed University in Sri Lanka / Overseas is also preferred
- Excellent Rapport with Industries
- Possess Skilled in Inquiry Generation, Order Closure, Strategic Business Plans Across BOI/ NON BOI & conversion
- Market Intelligence to understand competition strategies
- To command & communicate in local language
- With Good Communications Skills, Negotiations, Presentations, Fast learner
- Willing to travel extensively across the island wide to generate the sales
APPLICATION ENGINEER / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER – CHEMICAL / WATER DIVISION
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for achieving order budgets through sales to new and existing accounts/clients.
- Working with current customers and prospects to meet desired sales and service needs.
- Develop and execute customer account sales plans, coordinating all proposal activity, from generating quotes to processing POs.
- Manage customer satisfaction and escalate customer concerns for resolution.
- Coordinate support resources to maintain and grow existing and win / close new accounts.
- Maintain the integrity of strategies and implementation of sales / marketing programs to achieve sales goals within your assigned territory/market.
- Driving the right behaviors around safety, teamwork, company strategies and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Essential to this role is the ability to build and develop relationships, both with customers and internally supporting multiple managers and teams, demonstrating outstanding communication and customer service skills along with a self-motivated and goal orientated approach. Well organized, with excellent time management and prioritization abilities and a track record of exceeding challenging sales targets will be needed, as well as:
- Substantial account management or sales experience in a water/process treatment company or industrial plant.
- 4+ Years of relevant industrial experience
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
- Graduate in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering
- Selling and strategic account experience, with a track record of winning new accounts and business growth.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER – PROJECTS AT HANWELLA
Responsibilities
- Should be 25-30 years of age or below
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in boilers installation projects, operation and maintenance division and erection exposure in generators, Compressor and Cooling system will be an added advantage
- Exposure to operation and maintenance of capital equipment's like Boilers, Chillers, Steam Accessories and pipelines etc
ASSISTANT SERVICE MANAGER / FACILITY EXECUTIVE – OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE
Responsibilities
- B.Sc / NDT/HND/NDE or equivalent in Mechanical / Mechatronics or Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- Exposure to operation and maintenance of capital equipment’s like Boilers, Steam Accessories, Pumps, Steam Traps and pipelines etc.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years’ experience in boilers Servicing/Overhauling/operation and maintenance will be an added advantage
SERVICES ENGINEER / FACILITY EXECUTIVE – OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE
Responsibilities
- B.Sc / NDT/HND/NDE or equivalent in Mechanical / Mechatronics or Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- Exposure to maintenance operation and maintenance of capital equipment’s like Boilers, Steam Accessories, Pumps, Steam Traps and pipelines etc.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years’ experience in boilers Servicing/Overhauling/operation and maintenance will be an added advantage
POST OF SERVICE ENGINEER IN THE MVAC DIVISION
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- BSc. Mech, NDT Mech., HNDE Ref & Air or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing Central Air Conditioning system.
- Excellent communication with client and team
- Proficiency in MS Office Package
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with engineers and project team to improve the quality of installation
- Prepare and submit annual maintenance and service contract new and renewals
- Maintain data and recodes of each installation and AMC
- Ensure compliance with project specification and drawing on installation
- Manage the team to maintain the confidence of the clients
- Response to customer requirement
POST OF TECHNICIANS AND TRAINEES.
- NVQ Level 4/NITA/CGTTI or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience in trouble shooting, maintaining central air conditioning system and VRF AC system
- Knowledge in installation, commissioning of Central AC system and VRF system and knowledge in electrical system is an added advantage
