Health & Safety Officer
Empire Teas (Pvt) Ltd is a leading exporter of quality Ceylon Teas which is among the top Five exporters of Sri Lanka and is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated team player to drive the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) of the company.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Conducting hazard identification and risk assessments for all operations and putting in place the necessary controls to eliminate the company's risks.
- Developing, implementing, and overseeing OHS policies and procedures.
- Conducting and documenting occupational health and safety investigations and audits.
- Responsible for the documentation, record-keeping, and assessment of our factories' occupational health and safety.
- Providing technical assistance to management on all matters of safety.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional qualification in OHS from a recognized institute.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in a similar capacity.
- Knowledge in ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 is an additional advantage.
- Working knowledge of environmental and occupational health and safety legislation and regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office packages and training skills to train staff members for regulatory safety and compliance aspects.
